Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package pre-made croissant dough (8 croissants)
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll croissant dough and cut into triangles.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Place a tablespoon of pastry cream at the wider end of each dough triangle and roll tightly from base to tip, placing seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  6. For the glaze, heat heavy cream until boiling in a saucepan. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth.
  7. Once croissants have cooled slightly, dip tops into chocolate ganache to coat evenly and let set on wire racks.
