Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Earl Grey tea bag (or 1 tsp loose leaf Earl Grey tea)
  • 45 fresh cherries (pitted and halved)
  • 1/2 cup milk (any type: dairy, almond, oat, etc.)
  • 12 tsp vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Cinnamon stick (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer the halved cherries with 2 tablespoons of water over low heat for 3-5 minutes until softened. Gently mash them to release juices.
  2. Boil 1 cup of water in another pot and steep the Earl Grey tea for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag or strain out leaves.
  3. Pour the warmed milk into the saucepan with cherries and gently heat while stirring. Add an optional cinnamon stick if desired.
  4. Stir in vanilla syrup to taste.
  5. Combine brewed tea in a mug and strain cherry-milk mixture over it, pressing on cherries to extract juice.
  6. Serve hot or let cool before pouring over ice for a refreshing iced version.
