  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  2. Melt 6 oz of chopped chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth; let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
  5. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least a few hours.
