  • 1/4 cup nut butter
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup or agave
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup oat flour or rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Drain and rinse black beans thoroughly. In a food processor, blend black beans, nut butter, sweetener, cocoa powder, and flour until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan and freeze for at least 30 minutes to set.
  4. For optional coating: Melt additional chocolate chips with oil or mix cocoa powder with coconut oil and sweetener; pour over chilled bars.
  5. Return to freezer until completely set before cutting into squares.
