  • ⅓ cup water
  • ½ cup almond butter (or nut butter of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • 5 tablespoons cacao powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF and grease a mini muffin tin.
  2. In a food processor, blend Medjool dates and water until a smooth paste forms.
  3. Add almond butter, ground flax seeds, cacao powder, baking soda, vanilla extract, and balsamic vinegar to the date paste. Blend until combined.
  4. Portion the mixture into the mini muffin tin and flatten each mound.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until tops appear dry; centers should feel slightly soft.
  6. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before removing from the tin.
